Friends of Carrick Hill - Daytime Program

10.00am or 11.15am

The late David Roche was passionate about antiques and fine art, and was renowned as a collector of such objects both in Australia and abroad.  It was always his wish that the magnificent pieces contained in the world class collection of antiques, paintings and objects d'art that he assembled over time should be accessible to all, especially the people of Adelaide, his much-loved home town.  Notwithstanding this, many Adelaidians have never visited the collection, which is stunning in terms of its quality, scale and diversity.  Martyn Cook, the curator of The David Rochae Foundation Viewing Gallery, will welcome Friends to the gallery and provide a guided tour of the current exhibition on display.

Detail: The number of visitors that can enter the gallery at any one time is limited; please nominate on the booking sheet which tour group you would like to join.  The Viewing Gallery is situated at 237 Melbourne Street, North Adelaide.  Meet at the entrance 10 minutes prior to the starting time for the tour.  The gallery does not have off-street parking, but free 2 hour parking is available in Melbourne Street and in other streets in the vicinity.  Alternatively catch a 204 or 208 bus that is travelling from the city towards North Adelaide and alight at Stop #3.
