The inaugural Adelaide Festival of Children's Books is being held at Carrick Hill.
The day will comprise talks for children ages 4 - 12 years by some of South Australia's most successful and well know children's authors and illustrators. With talks, activities and book signings, this day will prove to be a high profile event, suitable for families and with the aim of encouraging children to read, write and illustrate. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sean Williams and Garth Nix will be launching their new book - Have Sword, Will Travel during the event.
Sean is the bestselling author of over 100 short stories and 49 award winning books, his best selling novels include those in the Twinmaker series and several in the Star Wars universe. Garth has sold more than 5 million copies of his books and has had them translated into 40 languages, including, the Seventh Tower series, the Keys to the Kingdom series, the Old Kingdom series and Frogkisser.
Garth and Sean first collaborated on the Troubletwisters series, which they followed with a book in the Spirit Animals series and Blood Ties.
