Friends of Carrick Hill - Evening Program

Major Genevieve Reuger is an Australian Army helicopter pilot.  She was previously scheduled to talk to the Friends in March, but Army duties intervened and she was unable to attend.  Genevieve, who will attend our event in full uniform, has been deployed overseas in East Timor, Papua New Guinea and Afghanistan, where she flew Black Hawk gunship helicopters.  She was recently involved in exercises at Woomera, where she was responsible for supervising the activities of a group of RAAF Hornet fighters from a small helicopter.  At the conclusion of the exercises they all flew back to Murray Bridge; however, the Hornets took 40 minutes to do the trip, while her slower means of transport meant that she was in the air for 4 hours!  Genevieve is a fascinating speaker, and while in this instance we are sure the talk will interest the gentlemen, we are also sure the ladies won't be bored either!
