A fantastical adventure into real and imagined characters of Carrick Hill estate. Through installation, drawings and augmented reality, artists William Gregory and Mawarini will illuminate its curious past. Fantasy Estate takes inspiration from Carrick Hill as a hybrid of European ideals and Australian realities. It features moments from Thomas the Tank Engine, Shining Time Station and the Adelaide Christmas Pageant, alongside Gregory's own characters such as Yoga Wolf, embedded in the real-life scenes of Edward Hayward and Ursula Barr-Smith. Together, the artists have produced a feast of fiction and imagined other worlds. Fantasy Estate is the result of a Tutti Arts pilot project called Reaching Out. Tutti Arts is South Australia’s only multi-arts organisation for learning disabled and neurodiverse artists. Tutti Arts developed Fantasy Estate in partnership with Carrick Hill and is supported by the Department of Premier & Cabinet. Admission: Adult $17, Concession $12, children under 15 free. Tickets provide access to the exhibition and to the Historic House Museum. Companion cards accepted. Free admission into Garden and Grounds. The accessible entrance is at 5 Meadowvale Road.
