Designed by Ursula Hayward, and modelled on the English country park, Carrick Hill's arts and craft style garden was once an elegant setting for social events and tennis parties.
Discover the history and development of the Carrick Hill formal gardens with our newly trained Garden Guides. The one hour tour is held Wednesday & Saturday's, leaving from the bottom of the Pavilion stairs.
Bookings are essential and group size is limited.
Garden tours are not currently recommended for visitors with limited mobility, wheelchairs or prams, due to the use of stairs and uneven ground. We are working on an accessible option for future visitors.
In the case of extreme weather or temperatures forecast over 34 degrees, the tour will not go ahead. If the weather is forecast for 34 degrees or over, at 2pm the day prior to the tour, ticket holders are to contact Carrick Hill to reschedule or arrange a full refund.
